The descent is what breaks people — how did you train for it?

Our GPS data keeps showing the hardest, longest-load days are the descents, not the climbs — yet most plans only push uphill cardio. If you've trekked in Nepal: did downhill / eccentric-strength work actually save your knees and quads? What did you do in the weeks before? We're building the Trek-Ready Program around exactly this gap.
